St. Mary’s County Department of Aging and Human Services Hosts Community Health and Wellness Fair Friday, October 14, 2022 – Southern Maryland News Net

The 2022 Community Health and Wellness Fair, hosted by the Department of Aging and Human Services, will be held Friday, October 14, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the University System of Maryland on South Campus of Maryland, located at 44219 Airport Road in California.

Health screenings will include body composition, glucose, skin cancer, hearing, vision and blood pressure. Registered Massage Therapist Gwynne Hill with California Total Body Massage will be on site throughout the day, offering complimentary 15-minute mini-massages. PJ Bean’s pharmacy will provide flu and COVID-19 shots. Bring your insurance card, all insurance agencies are accepted.

A shredding truck will also be on site at the health fair from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., sponsored by the St. Mary’s County Health Department – Preventive Services. Additionally, the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office and St. Mary’s County Health Department will be on hand to collect medications, including diabetic supplies such as needles, lancets and EpiPens.

Pre-register online at www.stmaryscountymd.gov/aging/healthfair before noon on Thursday, October 13. Online registrants will be eligible for a special price. This event is free and open to the public.
